Itinerary
Your romantic journey through Northeast India begins upon arrival at NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport, where our representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Gangtok. After checking in and freshening up, you’ll have the rest of the day to relax and explore this picturesque hill town. Gangtok, nestled in the Western Ghats, is known for its charming monasteries and stunning landscapes. Enjoy a peaceful evening as you soak in the serene beauty of the area. After breakfast, embark on an exciting day with a visit to the pristine Tsomgo Lake. Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, the lake offers breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. Continue your journey to Baba Harbhajan Mandir, a revered shrine that’s believed to be guarded by the spirit of a late soldier. After a day of exploration, return to your hotel in Gangtok for an overnight stay. (Travel time from Gangtok to Tsomgo Lake: Approx. 1.5 hours)
After breakfast, check out and set off for Pelling. On the way, visit Ravangla’s Buddha Park and the Char Dham in Namchi. These serene spots are perfect for photo opportunities amidst stunning natural surroundings. Upon reaching Pelling, take some time to relax at the hotel or explore the local markets at your leisure. After a hearty breakfast, start your city tour of Pelling. Begin by visiting Darap Village, a picturesque hamlet known for its vibrant culture and stunning views. Next, explore the Rimbi Waterfalls, Khecheopalri Lake, and Kanchenjunga Waterfalls. In the afternoon, visit Pemayangtse Monastery, Rabdentse Ruins, the Bird Sanctuary, and the New Helipad Ground for panoramic views of the surrounding hills. Overnight stay at the hotel in Pelling.
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and check out from your hotel in Pelling to head towards Darjeeling. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take time to relax after the journey. Rise early to witness a stunning sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga from Tiger Hill. The views of the third-highest peak in the world will be a highlight of your trip. Continue with visits to the Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop War Memorial, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Peace Pagoda, Japanese Temple, Tenzing Rock, Padmaja N. Zoological Garden, and Tibetan Refugee Centre. Return to your hotel in the evening for an overnight stay.
After a delicious breakfast, check out from your hotel. Your representative will transfer you to Bagdogra Airport for your onward journey, filled with wonderful memories of your Northeast adventure. (Distance from Darjeeling to Bagdogra Airport: 65 km, Travel time: Approx. 2.5 hours)
Payment Terms:
To confirm the hotel booking, a 50% deposit of the total package cost is required. The remaining balance should be settled by the day of travel, on Day 7.
In case of cancellation of the tour or travel services due to any avoidable or unavoidable reasons, we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges will be applicable from the date we receive the cancellation notice in writing. The charges will be as follows:
- 30 days or more prior to arrival – 10% of the total tour/service cost.
- 20 to 18 days prior to arrival – 20% of the total tour/service cost.
- 16 to 14 days prior to arrival – 25% of the total tour/service cost.
- 10 to 08 days prior to arrival – 50% of the total tour/service cost.
- 7 days or less prior to arrival, or no show – No refund and 100% of the total tour/service cost.
Essential Travel Information
Permit Requirements for Tsomgo Lake: For Tsomgo Lake, guests must carry 2 passport-sized photographs and a valid original photo ID (Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License) along with a photocopy for the permit. Aadhar Card and PAN Card are not accepted.
Traveling to North Sikkim (Lachung & Lachen): Similar to Tsomgo, permits are required for traveling to North Sikkim. Carry 2 additional passport-sized photos and original photo ID for processing the permit.
Hotel Check-in & Check-out: Hotel check-in is generally at 13:00 hrs, and check-out is at 11:00 hrs. Please follow hotel rules for check-in and check-out times.
Sightseeing Adjustments and Changes
Sightseeing Schedule Changes: If any changes are needed to your sightseeing schedule, please inform us by 6:00 pm the day before. After this time, changes will be treated as cancellations with no refunds, or additional charges may apply for rescheduling.
Things to Keep in Mind During Your Tour
Extra Person/Child with Extra Bed: Most hotels in this region provide rollovers/mattresses for extra beds. Expect simple, basic accommodations.
Water & Electricity Shortages: Sikkim and Darjeeling may experience water and power shortages. Some hotels have specific schedules for hot/cold water availability. We ask for your patience in such situations.
Vehicle Availability: Vehicles are scheduled as per the itinerary and may change sector-wise or daily. These vehicles are not at your disposal.
Travel Conditions and Emergency Situations
Natural Calamities: Any costs due to natural calamities (like landslides or road blockages) or political disturbances will be directly borne by the guest, payable on the spot.
Excess Baggage: If you have excess baggage, additional transport may be required, and the extra cost will be directly collected from you.
Vehicle Air Conditioning: AC will be switched on while traveling on flat terrain. AC will be switched off on uphill drives.
Hotel Lift Facilities: Most hotels in the region lack lift facilities. If you have medical concerns, please inform us at the time of booking to make arrangements (subject to availability).
Parking Shortage: Due to limited parking space in Sikkim & Darjeeling, guests may need to wait in the lobby for vehicles.
Important Travel Tips
Nathula Restrictions: Since Nathula is a restricted area, it may be sealed without prior notice. In such cases, your tour will be limited to Tsomgo Lake, and no refund will be issued for unutilized services.
Sightseeing Permits: Sightseeing depends on permit approval, weather, and road conditions. All plans are subject to change.
Liability & Insurance
Personal Property: We do not provide insurance for accidents, sickness, or theft. Guests are advised to arrange personal insurance before traveling. All luggage and belongings are at the guest's own risk.
Punctuality: Guests are responsible for adhering to the specified times during the tour. Delays leading to missed parts of the tour will not be refunded.
